Skoda Superb diesel and Superb V6 4X4 are here

As announced earlier by Skoda that Indian market will be able to see more variants of Skoda Superb in months to come, Skoda auto India, yesterday launched all New Superb in Diesel & V6 4×4 Petrol versions in India. The Skoda Superb Diesel 2.0TDI PD is geared with an automatic 6-speed, DSG, with manual Tiptronic gear changing. The 2.0 litre engine equipped with the Pumpe Düse (PD) technology has an inbuilt turbocharger with a high pressure direct injection system. The success of this engine can be attributed to the fact that it posses a lethal combination of power and fuel efficiency perfectly suited for Indian terrain. The all new model has been designed with a clear focus on user-friendliness, which augments the overall ‘Skoda’ experience. Through the distinctive, individualistic and exceptional design of the all new Superb Diesel, Skoda reclaims the 7-star experience on wheels. Skoda Superb 3.6V6 4×4: The new 3.6 litre engine is the largest powerplant fitted into a modern-era Skoda. Producing 260 bhp (350Nm) of torque between 2500-5000 rpm, and a top speed of 250 km/h this range-topping engine accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds - a new record for a Skoda production car. It is equipped with a DSG gearbox as a standard and delivers power to the road via a fourth-generation Haldex clutch variable four-wheel drive system.

Although the new 3.6L V6 4x4 is awell placed car in the competition but we have to indestand that being a 4x4 it reduces the chances of Superb to be the fastest Indian car as 4x4 terrain produces more drag coefficient but hindering speed.

The all New Skoda Superb - Coming...


The all new Skoda Superb will officially be launch the in the Indian market tomorrow.

Tagged as the 7-Star Luxury, the all new Superb comes with a loads of luxury features at the price tag of 19,50,000, you truly cannot get a superbly equipped luxurious sedan which has more features than an E-class for the price. Based on the stretched VW Passat architecture, the new Superb is considerably bigger than the outgoing car in every dimension. The car stands 4,838 mm in length, 1,817 mm in width, 1,462 mm in height and has a generous 2,761mm wheel base. The new Superb gets a 1.8L turbocharged petrol engine which produces 160bhp of power and 255NM of torque. The gearbox is a 7 speed DSG which changes gears faster than a manual gearbox. The new Skoda Superb is bigger then the current Superb it replaces. The car comes with a new electronic air conditioning system, an automatic parking assistant system, and more. On the safety front it comes fitted with front, rear and side airbags along with driving assist systems like ABS+EBD and traction control.

With an estimated price of 20-25 lakhs rupees, the new Superb with its combination of huge interiors space, luxury and technology will be a serious challenger in the segment.
